FINICK
Smouse in the House Podcast:
Season 5, Episode 2
Recently, I sat down to chat with local singer-songwriter Josie Hasnik, aka FINICK, and I thought back to what I was doing when I was 17. I most certainly didn’t decide to write an album during the pandemic like she did. But FINICK has emerged in the Twin Cities in a variety of circles and venues, earning recognition for her debut album and winning the Loring Collective Upcoming Musical Artist of the Year. Having recently played an in-studio session at Radio K, FINICK has found an audience with her whimsical indie folk sounds infused with real-life emotions. I was most impressed by her advice to other young artists in the community, and this episode of Smouse in the House illustrates how much our passions deserved to be pursued.
