Being invited into someone's creative space is a sacred act. There's stories, songs, and memories tucked into every room. Things that inspire and pull back memories to songwriting. Sitting in Becky Kapell's living room with a drum set in the dining room, a stack of 45's next to a piano, and guitars leaned against the walls, I felt that nest of creativity and safe space. Becky has a humbleness and deep appreciation for her place in the Twin Cities music scene. She respects her peers, gets excited for others' successes, and you can see the joy she has being an artist. That finds its way into her strings and songs.
