I admit I have a soft spot for people that run music venues. It’s a financial risk that typically doesn’t pay off, but is all done because of the passion of supporting local music. When connecting the dots that John Louis had co-owned one of my favorite venues, The Warming House, I knew I was going to appreciate John right away. There’s a tender kindness behind John’s songs that in person, shine bright. While tossing a dog toy for the new puppy and chatting, you can hear the importance he places on the stories that explore the depth of emotions and pain. It’s this skill that seems to bring a healing factor over those that connect with his music.
