Eli caught up with the multi-instrumentalist and producer after his soundcheck at Icehouse in Minneapolis, where he shared his as yet unreleased song, “When the Money Rolls In”.

Erik Koskinen is an American singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and producer, whose music defies sub-genre categorization. While heavily influenced by American roots music, Koskinen has developed his own unique sound, with the rhythmic integrity and musical tone just as important as the lyrical content and artistic intent. Koskinen has reverently entered the anthology of uniquely crafted wry songs in the good company of Woody Guthrie and Ry Cooder while speaking as plainly as your neighbor. The Minneapolis Star Tribune has called Koskinen “the real deal” and “the best country songwriter in Minnesota.”
