Pretty Boy Thorson, JRD & The Big Mistake, Fletcher Coulee, and Whiskey Jeff at Palmer’s

Alt- Country played too fucking fast/drinking good time fun. Plus more Kick-Ass country and more Alt-Country played too fucking fast!

Excerpt of a review of Pretty Boy Thorson from Punk News.Org

"Shit, where are my manners? You might not have heard these guys before. Well, they specialize in playing honky-tonking country songs too fast and too drunk to be classified as country or even alt-country -- as my bro so elequently put it to me as we were eating dinner together with the fam one night, "We're not alt-country; we kick the shit out of alt-country." The songs are unmistakably country in their roots, their chords could have been Haggard or Cash tunes some time ago, but the attitude and speed and rowdiness is a bit much for a starlet from Nashville."

JRD & The Big Mistake are North Country Mid Western Kick Ass Country!

Fletcher Coulee is a named after a ghost and comes from the interminably solo brain of Luc Parker of Mpls infamy, featuring the talents of Bill Rohla, most recently of The Chinchees, and Nato Coles and BDB, Graham Faulkner of Bouncer Fighter, Wild Child, and Neotypes, and Alex Forred of Ogre Smash Death Boom. It is not punk.

Whiskey Jeff all the while has ambition only for his next drink, his next verse and whatever lies beyond the wide open stage door. Sometimes you don’t know if you should be shedding tears or laughing over lost and found love and loneliness. At least you know Jeff's been there, armed with a half a handle, a warm beer and yesterday's roach.
