Jaspar Lepak celebrates the release of her new folk/Americana album "So Strong!" Joined by opener Haley Rydell and performing as a duo with Ben Cook-Feltz on keys (+ special guests!), this early dinner show is the perfect way to spend a Sunday winter evening. "So Strong" is a timely album that speaks directly about what it means to be a woman, a parent, and a human right now—with songs about identity, pregnancy, caregiving, reproductive rights, and placentas!
A child of the Sonoran Desert, Jaspar Lepak is a folk/Americana songwriter whose remarkable gift for melody is only surpassed by her poetry. Deeply influenced by the many places she has called home (Tucson, Durban, Seattle, and currently Minneapolis), she sweeps across landscapes with an emotional depth that is extraordinary while her clear, pure voice touches the heart. Her work has been featured on Democracy Now! and The Current, and her 10th album "So Strong" will be released on January 26, 2023! “Jaspar Lepak is the real deal when it comes to songwriting and guitar work, and as a vocalist she has few—if any—peers. She is a songwriter's dream.” ~ Christine Lavin
Haley E Rydell is a singer/songwriter/multi-instrumentalist originally from Fargo, ND whose memorable melodies and honest lyrics have been making their way across the country. Rydell has been performing for nearly 20 years in a plethora of projects, most recently Ryan Necci & the Buffalo Gospel and The Lowland Lakers. Although best known for her top-notch fiddle playing and her Christine McVie-esque harmonies, the Minneapolis-based artist has been quietly making a name for herself as a first-rate songwriter. Now, with the release of her solo album Midwestern Daughter, she shows why her work has been called “Absolutely gorgeous, like Patty Griffin sitting in with The Weepies” (Denver Westword).
