Mother Banjo is filling in for The Roe Family Singers in January, doing a Mother Banjo & Friends show every Monday at the 331 Club from 8-10 pm. The shows will include members of the Mother Banjo Band and special guests, including Emily Haavik, Ben Cook-Feltz, Ted Hajnasiewicz and Taylor James Donskey. We'll be playing music from my latest album Eyes on the Sky and debut some new tunes that will be on the next record. Should be a great way to spend one of the coldest, darkest months of the year!
Featuring Ellen Stanley on banjo and vocals, Mother Banjo is a New England-raised, Minneapolis-based songwriter. In addition to performing, she is a longtime DJ, publicist and arts organizer. During the pandemic, she has made it her mission to support working musicians through her weekly Back Catalog Listening Party, which she hosts with fellow banjo-playing songwriter Anthony Ihrig (of The High 48s). Every Friday at 4 pm CST, they host a live happy hour on YouTube, where they dig into their favorite records and talk with artists about their songs.
