Guitar Summer at 331 Club hosted by The Mikkel Factory, featuring Paul Barlament.
Mikkel on his new series: “The summer ‘Rezo City’ resonator guitar series I’ve been hosting the last 4 years has grown into a more sophisticated American Primitive/Rezo thingy I’m calling guitar summer. Great players from around the region will join me on some Sunday afternoons throughout the summer forgreat performances. Free for your enjoyment.”
Paul V. Barlament is a multi-instrumentalist based out of St. Paul, Minnesota. He began playing acoustic fingerstyle guitar in 1975, immediately after hearing Leo Kottke in concert. Leo led to John Fahey, Peter Lang and further down the “American Primitive” rabbit hole.
Mikkel Beckmen (washboard, wooden tray, and stomp box) has been a fixture on the Twin Cities scene for a number of years; some of the folks he's played with include the Brass Kings, Charlie Parr, and Lonesome Dan Kase & the Crush Collision Trio.
