This coming Tuesday is a very special workers playtime show. There will be a presentation of The Ballad of Catfish Lou. It’s an original narrative folk drama based in the Upper Mississippi River. Presented by Luke Callen! At the intersection of Harry Smith’s Old Weird America – the songs of heartworn highways – and the tumult of today you can find the music of Luke Callen.

Mikkel Beckmen (washboard, wooden tray, and stomp box) has been a fixture on the Twin Cities scene for a number of years; some of the folks he's played with include the Brass Kings, Charlie Parr, Lonesome Dan Kase & the Crush Collision Trio, and Corpse Reviver.
