Rachel Baiman + Lillie Mae at Cedar Cultural Center

Rachel Baiman is a charismatic singer, songwriter, banjo, guitar and fiddle player based in Nashville, TN. She just released a new record “Common Nation of Sorrow” via highly touted indie-folk label Signature Sounds on March 31st. Several of the tracks off that record have been added to “The Pulse of Americana,” “Indie Bluegrass,” and more editorial playlists and the album was recently listed as one of the Best Albums of 2023 by Boston Globe. The new album was engineered by Sean Sullivan at The Butcher Shoppe (Sturgill Simpson, Del McCoury Band, Tyler Childers, The Steeldrivers) in Nashville. Regularly collaborating with acts such as Watchhouse, Kacey Musgraves, and Molly Tuttle, Rachel puts on an incredible, engaging performance that will leave listeners yearning for more.

Lillie Mae is an American singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist known to bluegrass and country fans as a member of all-sibling outfits the Risches and Jypsi. Rock fans discovered her fiddle and mandolin playing in Jack White's live band. They encountered her instantly recognizable singing voice on "Temporary Ground" from his 2014 Lazaretto album, as well as her debut solo single "Nobody's"/"Same Eyes," issued in Third Man Records' Blue Series the same year.
