Chris Castino's "Brazil" Release Celebration at Icehouse

The 2020 release Brazil performed live: featuring (composer) Chris Castino, JT Bates, Nicholas David, Jill Mikelson, Doug Christianson, Jake Ilika, Nathan Eklund, Dylan Nau, and more…celebrating its liveness TONIGHT.

Brazil, by Saint Paul based composer/singer/guitarist Chris Castino, is a pre-covid release that explores song styles that come together to reflect the glorious imperfections of being alive. Initially set to release (then shelved due to the pandemic) in March of 2020, the album is a collection of songs set within conflicted American styles. Encompassing pop, blues, and folk, it features lyrics (juxtaposed in their idioms) of escaping in dreams, of passion, and of our earthbound path.

Chris and longtime collaborator Terry VanDeWalker open the evening as a duo, playing from their extensive catalog of tunes.
