Ben Noble w/ Halle Hanson & St. Anthony Mann at Icehouse
Ben Noble is a Minneapolis-based artist, songwriter, and producer/multi-instrumentalist.
Known for his diverse sound, he has released 3 albums (Whisky Priest - 2017, Where The Light Comes In - 2020, Bitter Work - 2023) as well as a handful of EPs and is constantly creating new music. Sonically his work has morphed from sleepy-time indie folk “guy with an acoustic guitar” to a full-on wall of sound with experimental uses of guitar, synths, drums, sampling, and more. Live, he is backed by his decade-long band mates Reese Kling (drums), Cooper Doten (bass), and Henry Donato (keys).
What remains the same in all of its moods is Noble’s innocent falsetto voice, singing about the highs and lows in his life, from his journeys in love and fatherhood, to the self-reflection and work he has done in therapy regarding anxiety, to his undoing of shame-based religion and dualism. In all, Noble seeks to pair sonic exploration and discomfort with equally precarious truths.
