About this event

Jeff has been writing and preforming country music in Minneapolis for close to 15, and been a part of the DIY music scene for 20 years. Described by Adventures in Americana as "Devastatingly sad songs in the best country tradition", Jeff's song writing uses humor to intensify the sadness he sings about. After taking a short hiatus for preforming, Jeff is currently working on his 2nd album and returning to the Minneapolis stages he calls home.

After years living in New Orleans, emerging singer and songwriter Clare Doyle has returned to her hometown of Saint Paul, MN ready to take the stage as a fresh Americana act. Raised on everything from Johnny Cash to Etta James, she draws on a range of influences to write honestly about loving, losing, hurting, and making a hot mess of things.

Excerpt of a review of Pretty Boy Thorson from Punk News.Org

"Shit, where are my manners? You might not have heard these guys before. Well, they specialize in playing honky-tonking country songs too fast and too drunk to be classified as country or even alt-country -- as my bro so elequently put it to me as we were eating dinner together with the fam one night, "We're not alt-country; we kick the shit out of alt-country." The songs are unmistakably country in their roots, their chords could have been Haggard or Cash tunes some time ago, but the attitude and speed and rowdiness is a bit much for a starlet from Nashville."

Tyler Haag is a singer/songwriter from Minneapolis. Alt-country/americana/rock.
